Part of the Parade
Quebec Native Women. Native Montréal. Fierté Montréal Pride
August 20, 2017
Montreal
Sunday. Pride Montréal closes its festival with a big parade. You can feel the excitement, which is even stronger among the members of the First Peoples. Thanks to the initiative of Quebec Native Women and Native Montreal, they’re leading the way for the first time. The dancers, dressed in their beautiful regalia, walk to the beat of drums and songs. Following them, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and two-spirit people display their colours and affirm their identity with joy. On the sidewalk, a large crowd applauds. It's a beautiful day.
