As she walks on the beach of Sept-Îles Bay as she often does, Shana G. St-Onge describes what her ancestors would see if they returned to the place where they traded and gathered to go fishing. Next to the Old Trading Post is the community centre, always bustling with activity; on the point is a huge aluminum plant; offshore, freighters are sailing away, their holds full of ore; the cruise dock is filled with tourists from around the world, and finally, where the cross is, there’s a small quiet spot where the wind is good.
